About
Ashwin Jawdekar is a specialist dental practitioner with contributions in pediatric detistry, public health and dental leadership on various platforms. Over the past 20 years, he has given about 250 guest-lectures, authored over 50 publications, 1 book and several book chapters. He is the originator of National No Sugar Day which is observed on 1st November in India and endorsed globally by various organizations. He has developed Android apps: CRAFT for Caries Risk Assessment for Indian Children and PREASY for making prescriptions for children with accurate dosages. His current positions are: Professor and Head, Pediatric Dentistry, Vice-Principal, Bharati Vidyapeeth Dental College, Navi Mumbai; Chief Guest Faculty for IDA Fellowship in Pediatric Dentistry; Global Ambassador, GCD Fund (UK 2013-24); Founder President, Foundation for Orofacial Myotherapy.

- 1st prize on Postgraduate Research Day at Guy's Hospital London in 2012.
- Tony Volpe Award 2013 of Global Child Dental Fund (UK) at Harvard School of Dental Medicine, Boston.
- 1st prize in paper presentation in Caries Risk Assessment category and overall third place at IAPD Global Summit on ECC at Bangkok in 2018.
