Dr. Pritam Khomane

Dr. Pritam L. Khomane joined our team in 2022 as a Consultant Nephrologist and Transplant Physician at Jupiter Hospital, Thane. He has completed his DNB in Internal Medicine from Nanavati Hospital, Mumbai, followed by a DM in Nephrology from Kasturba Medical College, Manipal , Karnataka.

He subsequently worked at the prestigious Government Institute of Kidney Disease and Research Centre, Ahmedabad, where he gained extensive exposure to advanced nephrology and high-volume renal transplant care.

Dr. Khomane has strong clinical expertise in continuous renal replacement therapy (CRRT), peritoneal dialysis, and comprehensive management of acute and chronic kidney diseases. He has successfully performed more than 100 renal transplant procedures, including cadaveric transplants, live donor ABO-compatible and ABO-incompatible transplants, as well as swap kidney transplants.

Since joining Jupiter Hospital, Thane, he has been instrumental in strengthening the renal transplant program and advancing multidisciplinary transplant care, contributing to consistently favorable patient and graft outcomes. He has also managed the long-term outpatient care of over 1,000 renal transplant recipients, with particular emphasis on individualized immunosuppression, infection prevention, and complication management.
