Mammography with Tomosynthesis

To diagnose breast cancer, mammography is used to look for early signs of breast cancer. It is an x-ray image of the breast, which is used to check for breast cancer in women who have no signs or symptoms of the disease. It is also used to identify a lump or other indication of breast cancer.
Digital breast tomosynthesis (tomo), is also referred to as 3D mammography. This procedure is a revolutionary new screening and diagnostic breast imaging tool to improve the early detection of breast cancer.

It takes multiple images in seconds by sweeping an x-ray arm over the breast and allowing the detection of a higher number of expansive lesions and a better morphological analysis of masses and architectural distortions.
