Dr. Gadekar has done his MBBS from prestigious Seth GS medical college, Mumbai followed by MS orthopaedics from Government medical college, Nagpur, Fellowship in Primary and Revision Joint replacement surgery from pune and then went to Adelaide Australia for further training. He attended Global VSP training in Robotic Joint Replacement surgery @ Pittsburgh USA and is specialised in using different robotic technologies used in joint replacement surgeries.


  • After completing a fellowship program in Robotic Joint Replacement in Pune, I furthered my expertise with a Fellowship in Primary and Revision Joint Replacement Surgery in Adelaide, Australia. Subsequently, I served as a Consultant Joint Replacement Surgeon at Lokmanya Hospital in Pune for nearly seven years, accumulating a wealth of experience.
  • During my career, I have successfully performed close to 2000 joint replacement surgeries, encompassing a variety of procedures, including robotic joint replacements. I am well-versed in the utilization of various robotic systems such as Navio and Cori (Smith and Nephew), Rosa (Zimmer), and Velys (Johnson & Johnson).
  • In the course of my practice over the past seven years, I have executed both straightforward and intricate joint replacement surgeries. Moreover, I collaborated closely with an anesthesia team to develop a preemptive analgesia technique aimed at minimizing post-surgery pain in joint replacement patients.
