A best cadet and a best outgoing student of school; Dr. Neeraj Rayate graduated from Dr. V. M. Medical College, Solapur in merit. 

He served as a medical officer to Government of Maharashtra at its remote primary health center in Jalgaon district for one year. He then completed his Masters in Surgery from Government Medical College & Civil Hospital, Sangli. He is also a diplomat of national board, New Delhi; in Surgery. He then was a teacher in Surgery at Dr. V. M. Medical College, Solapur for 2 years. He is also a postgraduate teacher in DNB General Surgery at present.

He then spent several years at various esteemed institutes in India. He visited Germany, Greece for his training of advanced Laparoscopic surgery, Robotic Surgery, Gastrointestinal Surgery. He also got his training in Bariatric (Obesity reduction) surgery from USA in pursuit of perfection.

Dr. Rayate is an co-author of several books on laparoscopy and robotic surgery and their role in the treatment of cancer surgery. He also has several national & international papers to his credit.

  • A district badminton player Dr. Neeraj is fond of music and is an excellent orator. Dr. Rayate is a national faculty for hernia, minimal access surgery and bariatrics. He has delivered several scientific and educational lectures at various district, state, national and international forums & so also on All India Radio and various TV channels. Creating health awareness in the community, use of minimal access surgery for hernia and obesity are subjects of his interest.
  • Dr. Rayate is a consultant surgeon having skills in minimal access, G. I. Bariatric & Robotic Surgery. He has been in the surgical practice for last 20 years.
