Dr Swati Goray completed her MBBS from the prestigious Seth GS Medical College & KEM Hospital in Mumbai. She pursued her MD in General Medicine from the premiere All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), New Delhi. She was trained in Diabetes and Endocrinology at Safdarjung Hospital (New Delhi), a large tertiary care government hospital where she dealt with both adult and paediatric endocrinology. She was working in the National Health Service, United Kingdom for the last 4 years. She was a fellow at Royal United Hospitals Bath, UK and gained expertise in Endocrinology and Diabetes especially in use of Technology (continuous glucose monitoring and pumps).She also completed a fellowship in Endocrinology from University Hospitals Bristol and Weston, UK. Dr Swati Goray is competent in treating all conditions in Diabetes and Endocrinology.
Her special areas of interest are Diabetes and Endocrine conditions in pregnant women, Diabetes Technology, Thyroid, Adrenal and Pituitary disorders. She values the use of Diabetes Technology such as continuous glucose monitoring and pumps in making it easier to live with diabetes. She believes in tailoring the treatment around the patient’s needs and making sure that their concerns are addressed. She prefers using investigations and medications judiciously, and only when necessary, in managing a condition. She also gives equal emphasis to lifestyle and healthy eating in improving one’s health and preventing diseases as far as possible. She prioritizes her patient’s quality of life and centers her approach accordingly.
